Prevent our Extinction Crisis

Australia's unique ecosystems face alarming mammal extinction rates and species decline. WWF is rewilding Australia by reintroducing locally-extinct species, utilizing science and Indigenous Ecological Knowledge. Quolls, devils, bandicoots, potoroos, and bettongs play vital roles in regulating ecosystems and engineering processes such as soil turnover and seed germination, fostering biodiversity regeneration.

RESTORE THE LAND

Replant our Natural Habitat

Greening Australia's ambitious ecological restoration program aims to restore 330,000 hectares of native trees by 2030. In collaboration with Traditional Owners, scientists, and land managers, they will plant 500 million trees and shrubs, mitigating land clearing and climate change impacts. This effort will absorb over 1.3 million tonnes of CO2 annually, revitalizing habitats and farmland.

Clean our Seas and Harbours

Over 160 million tons of plastic are produced annually, with limited recycling and accumulation in landfills and the environment. Micro-plastics contaminate water and food chains. Seabin Smart Tech acts as a skimmer, filtering 600,000L of water daily, removing floating plastics as small as 2mm, along with oil and pollutants.
